Bar to psi converter explained
Hydraulics, HVAC, and automotive tools often swap between bar and psi. This calculator converts both ways and shows kPa and Pa for engineering clarity.

One bar equals 100,000Pa; one psi equals 6,894.757Pa. Conversions use those anchors:

Result: 101.5 psi.

Result: 4.14 bar.
Tips and pitfalls
- Distinguish psig from psia; this tool treats psi as absolute. Add atmospheric pressure (≈14.7 psi) to gauge readings before converting if you need absolute.
- Metric drawings often call for kPa; use the kPa card for compliance reports.
- Do not round early; small rounding at high pressures can exceed instrument tolerances.
